Since joining the Dance School in 1973 she is among those who mingle their entire existence to the Opera of Paris and to the art of choreography. In 1988, Rudolf Nureyev (1983-1989 Director of the dance) appoints Elisabeth Maurin Etoile while she interprets Clara in the Nutcrackerl. This event tops a great stage experience such as Coppelia , Sleeping Beauty, Giselle, Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Romeo and Juliet, Petrouchka, La Sylphide, Raymonda, Arepo, Magnificat, The History of Manon, The Park, The Little Dancer by Degas ... Her technical and artistic sensibility were put at the service of the works of Serge Lifar, Michel Fokine, George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Maurice Bejart, Roland Petit, Rosella Hightower, John Neumeier, Kenneth MacMillan, Pierre Lacotte, Angelin Preljocaj, ... For three seasons (2005-08) she taught at the School of Ballet headed by Elisabeth Platel. She is also a professor at the Palais Garnier and rehearses the soloists. Elisabeth Maurin danced in many countried, she is a renowned dance artist. |
In 2011, Élisabeth Maurin and Ellina Akimova put their talent and their passion for dance and music together to create the volume V of the Collection Dance Accompaniment, Music for Ballet Class. This CD is a complete class for professional dancers, it features music for barre exercices, music for centre exercises including pointes, and exercises for male dancers.
